Traditional Prequel-era garments. Self made.
Inner tunic: Crinkle cotton gauze, overdyed in dark brown. Based on McCall's pattern 4007 with sleeves lengthened to add traditional gathers at wrist. Outer tunic, tabbards, and obi: "Sand" (khaki) cotton Calcutta. Outer tunic is two-piece with waist seam. Top portion based on Simplicity #5840 modified to add shoulder tucks, enlarge sleeves, and add tucks and darts at waist to fit a woman's figure. "Skirt" back made from a circle skirt pattern cut to fit waist; flat front. Tabards are Obi-Wan style, stopping at the back waist. Tabards and obi designed based on discussion on TJA message boards. Pants: Gloria Vanderbilt cotton chino with a touch of spandex; khaki-colored. Boots: Etienne Aigner equestrian-style black leather with silver d-rings at back. Belt: Black distressed leather with silver equestrian-style "buckle" and Sam Browne rivets. Pouches are black with silver hardware: One Tandy #44345-00 "belt bag", one comlink (modified cell phone case), and one larger "tool bag" (accomodates camera :) Food capsules in gold, copper, pewter, and silver. Covertec clip for saber. Robe: Traditional dark brown wool with shoulder tucks, back pleat, and self-lined hood. Made in October 2005 (before I discovered TJA) from instructions found on Padawan's Guide, Rocky Mountain Fan Force, and Amber's Jedi Meditation Chamber websites. Since my saber has a detachable blade, I also made a canvas "scabbard" with a dark brown strap that I covered and lined with the robe fabric. I can wear this over my left shoulder and under my robe, and it doesn't show. |
Lightsaber Description | |
![]() Lightsaber Photo | Blade Color: Consular GreenKryy's saber started as a single MR FX Darth Maul. Conversion to Consular Green done by Ultra Sabers. Removable blade. In order to make the saber more "generic", such as those pictured in the AOTC Visual Dictionary, I added some gold paint and an alternate pommel made of the Maul connector piece, some plumbing parts, and a new Covertec button.
